Answers

(1) You should bring anything that is hair related i.e. tiara, comb or pins if you have them. If not advice will be given as to what would suit your hairstyle. Pictures of hair styles that you like and even some that you don’t like - this will give me a good idea of your taste. A picture of your dress if you have one. A camera so you can look over the styles that we do.

(2) Please shampoo your hair on the morning of your trial and do not over condition or use gels, waxes or any styling products.

(3) I am usually in the brides house or hotel for about 3-4 hours to do an average group of about 5 -7 people. I aim to have everyone ready one hour before the departure time and if the bride is wearing a veil I wait and attach it securely.I also will attach any feathers or fascinators for the mums.

(4) Anyone having rollers will be prepared first and then as they are ready they will be done. The bride will be finished about second last depending on what style she is having done.

(5) Usually the first person with hair done will be the first to have makeup and so on, so that hair and make up are being done in the same time frame. If the bride is having rollers she will sometimes have her make up done with them in and then the hair is finished.

(6) Yes I stay to put the veil on and do final touch ups on all the party.

(7) The bridesmaids do not need the exact same hair styles but it is wise to keep a similar look. i.e. do not have one with a forties style and one with spikes or one with a lot of detail and one with a dead straight blow-dry. Try to incorporate a style to the whole wedding party. i.e. vintage, Hollywood glam or simple elegant.

(8) It is not always necessary for the bridesmaids to have a trial .If you have one with very difficult hair or if you have very fussy girls then it might be needed.
